Why We Vet Every Partner
Working on residential construction projects carries real responsibility. To protect our clients, our company, and you, we require every trade partner to be properly documented and insured before work begins. This is standard practice for any well-run design-build firm, and it is what allows us to stand behind every project we deliver. Below is what we will collect through your partner portal.
W-9 & Business Details
A current W-9 for tax reporting, along with your business structure, EIN, and license information where applicable. This establishes you as a legitimate, independent business.
RequiredGeneral Liability
A certificate of general liability insurance with Daydream Design and Build listed as additional insured. This protects both parties in the event of property damage or third-party claims.
RequiredWorkers' Compensation
Proof of workers' compensation coverage for your crew, or a valid exemption certificate if you operate as a sole proprietor. This ensures your team is protected on our job sites.
RequiredSubcontractor Agreement
A signed subcontractor agreement that defines the working relationship, scope expectations, and responsibilities. A written agreement protects everyone and is required before any work is scheduled.
RequiredProfessional Liability
If your trade involves design, engineering, or professional judgment, we ask for professional liability coverage. Not every trade needs this, and we will let you know if it applies to you.
If ApplicableCommercial Auto
If your crew drives company or personal vehicles to and from our job sites, we ask for proof of commercial auto coverage. This protects against vehicle-related incidents on or near the project.
